Developing Independent Living Skills Derby College for Deaf People offers learners an opportunity to find out more about what independent living means. We also offer information about what is available in the wider community. Learners can access this information by our Learner Services department. Our aim is to provide a quality and professional service to all learners at DCDP.
Aims In the same way that Deaf learners make an impact on the learning environment in the sector colleges, the Learner Services Team encourages learners to have the confidence to use the same services provided to the wider public. By accessing professional information, advice and guidance services external to DCDP, it is hoped that students will grow in self-esteem and consequently become empowered members of the community.
