Derby College for Deaf People caters for around 100 students. To provide access to the course each student has chosen, we have a team of Communication Workers based in each of the local colleges, managed by a Co-ordinator.

We currently employ 45 Communication Workers either on full-time, part-time contracts, or on a sessional basis.

Salaries are linked to the NJC scale.

Communication Workers are employed for 35 hours per week for 39 weeks of the year. Occasionally evening and weekend work is required.
