Fireworks Fun

A group of Students piled onto 3 minibuses and set off for the fun and fireworks in Nottingham, Jama, Andrea and Helen drove the buses and forgot to plan how to drive in a convoy! So as you can imagine, it was pretty hard all staying together but they managed it!! Just.

We arrived onto the forest road site to be greeted by the bright spinning lights of the fair and the warmth of the burning bonfire. Students eager to get out of the buses opened the doors and headed excitedly for the fair. First ride up was the alpine express, Thomas, Neil, Adam B, Jai, Claire and Nina were brave enough to go on, the ride spun around and around for what seemed like forever!! Next was the waver a ride that really did test your stomach, Teniola tried to drag Vickie on she said“no, you have got no chance!” Guy and kundisai decided that this ride was definitely not for them whilst kushwant, Laura, Gemma and many others decided to be brave, hand over their cash and buckled themselves in. Round and round upside down, to the left and to the right, some students came off the ride looking like that had had a fright, Others held there head up high “I’m alright” that was ‘v’. What next? What next!

We all huddled around the bonfire trying to get as much warmth as possible, unfortunately the bonfire had nearly burnt out so we zipped up our coats up pulled on our gloves and waited in anticipation for the fireworks to start. An almighty bang soon was felt and heard as the first of many sparkling colourful fireworks brightened up the sky. The student’s ooed and ahhed as the fireworks exploded in the night sky, faces lit up and caught each others eye ‘wow’ ‘v’ ‘great’.

We all piled back onto the buses eagerly waiting for the engines to warm up so that we could put the heating on. Vickie asked the students “ Good time?” Students replied “yessssss".
